Hey there, y’all!

A great big HOWDY from Texas!

Thank you for popping in for a visit.

I love writing stories full of grace and love that inspire hope, joy, laughter, and maybe a tear or two of the best kind. I pray that my stories will inspire others to get to know Jesus better. I couldn’t ask for any more than that from the words I put to paper. Nothing else matters.

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, but arrived in Texas in 2005 and dug those roots right in. I do love me some Texas, especially here in beautiful Hill Country where my husband and I settled in with our then-five-year-old daughter in Georgetown, just north of Austin. My husband, Eric, and I have been married for three decades now and are plugging along swimmingly, even in our empty nest. (Empty except for our two fur-babies, Buddy and Lily.) Our daughter, Michaela, has planted herself in the Dallas area where she’s thriving in her faith and her career in Sports Broadcasting/Video Production. For me, the adage that a daughter grows up to be your best friend certainly rings true.

And did I mention I like to write a little? Especially about love and romance and all that fun stuff, with a firm foundation of faith. Clean but sassy, sparkly, and even goose-bumpy romance is a thing, y’all! With God in the middle, and with characters seeking and learning and changing, nothing could be more heartwarming or spine-tingly.

My debut novel, Love’s True Calling, is the 2022 ACFW Genesis winner for Romance and a double finalist in the 2024 Selah Awards. Books Two (Love’s True Home) and Three (Love’s True Measure) of the series are scheduled to be released in June 2024 and June 2025, respectively. I’m so honored and thrilled to be a part of the Scrivenings Press family!

Join me on my journey, will you? If you haven’t yet, please sign up for my newsletter. Just a short and sweet monthly missive about my journey with some book recommendations, reviews, an interview from time to time, and a monthly give-away you don’t want to miss.

Well, thanks for sittin’ a spell and getting to know me. I’d love to hear from you, too! Feel free to email me at lori@loridejongwrites.com.

Many blessings,

Lori
